                 Arno von Hootegem, PhD

Arno Van Hootegem is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography (University of Oslo). His PhD fellowship, which was conducted at KU Leuven (Belgium), analysed public opinion towards distributive justice and was awarded by Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). He has Masters in Sociology and Statistics (applied to Social Sciences) from the KU Leuven. Currently he is working on the role of genetics on education attainment, but has a profound interest in welfare attitudes, political trust and social policies. Arno is affiliated with the POLINEQUAL project as an expert on distributive justice norms and will help to implement comparative surveys on inequality perceptions.
