Post-doc researcher

                       Michael Webb, PhD

Michael Webb joined the POLINEQUAL team while finalizing his PhD at the University of Florida. His dissertation focuses on the role that context plays in shaping support for populism, but his broader research agenda seeks to highlight the importance of context in political behavior generally. This work is intersectional in its orientation and emphasizes the use of multi-dimensional interaction terms and multilevel models to capture heterogeneous effects. Additionally, Michael Webb has employed programmatic text analysis to study the informal dynamics of the European Union’s institutions. At Polinequal, he hopes to employ text analysis to study how framing of political inequality differs across national and sub-national contexts.
